Why do all good things come to an end...

i will post pictures and recap later about my amazing family reunion this past weekend (don't have much time now, since i am learning my new computer system).

i wanted to give a shout out to sabra johnson for winning this seasons "so you think you can dance". i was so excited. i have watched the finale a couple times, and am sad to say goodbye. it's seriously like my favorite show. i thoroughly enjoyed watching it with my girls...thanks for letting me pause it all the time to point out funny audience members and of course the dominic hip hop routine. i can't wait for the tour, and of course will be counting the months until next season...but it won't come fast enough.

it's the final countdown....

i feel like the winds of change have blown in and new things are on the horizon. although i am sad to say goodbye to SYTYCD, i am not sad to say goodbye to my work/computer problems which i have now (after how many days?) solved. times are changin. so as new things come up...the reunion....i need to first share my thoughts....

TOP 5 THOUGHTS ABOUT LAST NIGHT ON SYTYCD:

1. a standing ovation...really? a standing ovation for danny's solo....was that necessary? you mine as well hand him the trophy (is there a trophy?). it's not like he cured cancer...he did some leaps...cool leaps, but leaps none the less.

2. i liked the fox routine. i know dan said either you would like it or hate it, and i am on the " hmmm. i think i liked it" side. sometimes for me, wade can be a little to....asian....for a white guy, but i think this was a cool routine. i find it interesting how they loved the hummingbird/flower routine, but didn't understand this one. weren't they very similar?

3. how come they expect every hip hop routine to be "hard"? sometimes hip hop is fun and bouncy. with that music choice, i think the routine had to be a little more soft and bouncy. it's not like it was them dancing to "candy shop" and not being sexy...that wouldn't have made sense (right jared and aaron?). the song was more fun and happy than other hip hop songs....at least i thought. was it my favorite? no, but when nigel said it wasn't "hard enough" for him, i was like....i don't think it was supposed to be...was it?

4. dang it...i really liked lacey and danny's waltz. usually ballroom for me on this show has been a little boring, but i was enthralled with this performance. i thought it was beautiful. dang it.

5. i don't think sabra was showcased enough last night. and i am worried. i really like her, and i really wanted a girl to win this year. i think i just need to come to the realization that either danny or lacey will win. sad day.

I am really excited for this week to be over, mostly because it is now party time and you all know how much i like party's. it's going to be amazing. i look forward to seeing most of you there. here's hoping doug never says "the party's over" (woah i just had a childhood flashback).

we can dance if we want to...

to all my family: answer ASAP

re: THE FAMILY REUNION

question #1: this dance that we talked about....is it an official "dance" or let's have angie play music and maybe we will dance if we want to. i need to know cause that's two different playlists to put together, and i like things to flow the way they are supposed to.

question #2: what songs do want to hear? i have started compiling songs from oldies, to disco, to 80's pop, to 90's dance music to current. so if you have any requests please post. don't worry ash, i got "usher's yeah" all ready (i remembered you said your kids liked it, and so do i).

question #3: should i include slow songs? i would think it would be a good opportunity to get some dance time in with your significant others, which probably doesn't happen much anymore, but you tell me.

thanks for the help. love you.

I dont know your name but excuse me miss...I saw you from across the room

who knew that such lines as...

"Do you think magic spells work?"
"Oh my gosh, did you see those two girls fighting outside?"
or
"Do you floss before or after brushing"

...were actual conversation starters that help you pick up the opposite sex. i didn't, well not until mystery, matador, and j dogg told me so last night on "the pick-up artist". it's fascinating. one simple sentence is all it takes to draw someone in and engage them in conversation. This show is so intriguing to me, besides the fact that matador is kind of fly, because my biggest fear is the approach, and to know that it can be so simple is crazy to me.

i was sad to see spoon go last night. with his makeover he was looking surprising like "mr . hahn" from linkin park, and i thought he had such potential to be an amazing ladies man. but his insecurities got the best of him, and he quit. it made me cry.

cause you had a bad day, you're taking one down

so these last couple of days have been the most stressful days i have had in a while....work wise. usually work consist of sitting at a computer all day entering in thousands of numbers all while listening to music and avoiding patients stares. but yesterday my computer hated me. like seriously hated me. the system we run in our office for medical billing is not the most up to date system, actually it's from the stone ages of macs, and thus it needs constant repairs. well yesterday it decided to erase all the transactions i had done since the middle of July...for reason i suspect. i was freaked out and basically crying. who wouldn't be right? do you know how many transactions i do on a daily basis, let alone a months worth.....oh the stress is building just thinking about it again. well i left last night and went home, determined to forget about my horrible, no-good, very bad day. and i did. it's amazing what a little denial will do for the soul.

then i got up this morning, got ready, and headed out to my car ready for a fresh start....but no....i got egged! my car had dried egg yolk all over the side, and shells stuck in crevices like chicken on fat bastard. why does the universe hate me? so i pull the car into the driveway and begin hosing down the eggs remains. so disgusting. i thought "well this day seems promising....yeah right". i get to the office, determined that i will spend the next few days re-entering all the charges and payments that had been lost, but to my surprise the system had repaired itself and gave me back my sanity. so who knows how this day will end right? here's hoping to a good finish!

i sing because i'm happy...

i'm at a baseball game, yes you read that correctly...it's me attempting to get out more, but i can't watch my dance show and i was dying to know what happened. i could have called someone but i chose to look online and good news awaited me. yeah! sabra and neil are both safe! i knew lacey and danny would make the finals, they have a following, but to know i have a good chance of someone i love winning makes me happy.

Living the life in the fast lane, and I won't change..

A typical weekend in the life of this single girl, is usually full of such glitz and glamor that i feel the need to shield the married girls of the world from such excitement...but this weekend was a little more laid-back and thus i can fill you in on the details. i hope it's not too much to handle.

friday we had a few friends over and rocked it out to a new game called singstar. it's a PS2 game and it's way rad. you can do team battles, head-to head, or pass-the-mic games. the words (and videos) for songs come on the screen and you get points based on correct lyrics, tone, rhythm. it's so fun. my highlight was beating my friend emily (the only talented singer of the bunch) on whitney houston's "i wanna dance with somebody". don't know how i pulled that one out, but i "worked it out dogg".

saturday, after waking up about 11:30 (went to bed about 4:30), "i got my sun on" all day long with the girls (and my mom). it was awesome. i did swim a couple laps and entertained my crowd with some amazing dance moves in order to get my exercise in for the day and feel somewhat productive. we plugged in my ipod and relaxed, swam, and ate while we listened to my bubblegum pop mix. nothing like catching some rays, while soul decision's "faded" plays in the background. after a serious inner struggle to convince myself that i needed to attend yet another wedding reception, i got ready and we headed over to aubrey's shin-dig. most of the time was spent watching the wedding video for pictures of me to show up, and wow....what horrible pictures....why did you guys let me eat....ever? and let me not even talk about my hair....oh the pain. hahahahhaa.

after a quick appearance, me, michelle, and i headed to dinner then to hastings to purchase a toy that i have been dying to get since i heard it existed there. my "silent bob" bobblehead.

don't know how many of you know who kevin smith is, let alone how much i love him. he's one of favorite directors, and from what i have heard about him and from him, a pretty cool person as well. he makes me happy. anyway he plays a character "silent bob" in a majority of his films, a character that is based solely on facial expressions, until a critical point in the movie where he breaks his silence and offers up some important and profound thoughts....a great character, and now i have his bobblehead. (picture below is from clerks 2)

i have placed it on the shelf next to my other two pop-culture toys (prized possessions). my dwight k. schrute bobblehead ( i am thinking about starting a collection) and my chris kirkpatrick marionette doll from the no strings attached album ( i thought with chris' current participation the man:band program it was only fitting to bring the marionette out of retirement).

after a busy day of sun, fun, and shopping i retired to the usual position and hung out the the girls watching tv....what a day!

may i have the attention of the class...excuse me may i have the attention of the class for one minute

*an update for the previously posted VH1 shows that i love*

this week on...

(scott baio is 45...and single)
what the heck is a cuddle party and do people go to these things? i think it's a little creepy....okay a lot creepy, especially if a little person (no offense to any little people reading this) of the same sex tries to snuggle with you. i couldn't do it. i like physical contact as much as most people, but how screwed up to do you have to be to need a party to get physical intimacy in your life. just wear a button that says i love hugs, it think it would be just as effective and less creepy.

(rock of love)
my girl jes came through in the first annual rock of love mud-football game. when she tackled lacey(one of my least favorite girls)down to the ground, i quietly cheered inside. she deserved it. finally jes was able to show bret what a cool chick she was, although if you ask me i think she's too cool for mister "has been" who i think owns some serious stock in bandana corporations. then there was poor erin who got sent home, cause bret thought she would rather hang out with justin timberlake instead of him.....um.....who wouldn't? i loved poison as much as most people back in the day, and i still have a certain affection for bret...but c'mon it's justin freakin timberlake...

and i thank you...thank you.

I wanted to give a quick shout out to my friend michelle for pointing out a grammar error on my blog. apparently she is the only good friend i have, a true friend who knows i am OCD when it comes to certain things. good to know that if i had a chunk of food in my teeth atleast michelle would be able to point it out to me. thanks michelle! :) hahahahahhahaa. (she's sitting here making me write this....)
