This week was "spirit week" at Qiana's daycare. I know it sounds totally cheesy for 4 kids under 3 to have a spirit week, but I found myself really getting into it. Plus Q was really feeling each outfit. It was super cute.
The first day, Monday (Valentine's Day), was wear red. Well, I had already put together her Valentine's day outfit (complete with t-shirt and sparkly hot pink converse given to her from Vikki and her family)...so I stuck a red ribbon in her hair, and made that work. Q, is in love with these shoes...it's quite funny actually.
Tuesday was pajama day. Q already had a pair of pj's with glittery ballerinas on them, so I stuck her pink tutu on with it, and she was ready to go.
Wednesday was princess/superhero (there is one boy) day. True story, Q kept reminding me that she needed her necklace for this outfit. Apparently the pearls make the outfit?
Thursday was favorite color. This was a little more difficult. Q does not have a favorite color. In fact, she is having a difficult time learning her colors (I have had multiple freak outs and done research regarding the possibility that she is color blind...but that's a different story, and apparently you can't really tell until after 3). but anyway, I chose to go with pink, since that is the color that she most commonly calls out when asked what color something is, so I am assuming it's her favorite.
(the mark on the pockets, is just water..in case you were wondering if I sent her off in a dirty outfit)
I can't wait for many more years of this stuff...

Yeah I can't wait to see what you come up with when she gets older! This Spirit week is just the beginning.....
I love the idea of spirit week no matter what the age. You did a fine job!
I honestly thought Oliver was color blind. I did the same thing, research, freaking out...all the usual. He would be like, "look mommy blue trees". Then I worked on him really hard...one week he would wear red every day and we would talk about it all week...then the next week yellow and so on. He still didn't know his colors. Then one day he just knew them. He wasn't color blind...he just wasn't interested...at all. He is so smart too and in the top of his class. He just didn't care. So don't worry...I am sure she will be just fine. :)
Oh my gosh ang I have been having the same problem with Tayden except he is freakin 3 1/2!! But now that I have read Ashley's comment I feel a little better. Too be honest I really don't think Tayden is interested at all...I am sure Q will get there so try not to stress!! She's a smart little cutie!
Love it! how fun is that?! I'm loving her Valentine's outfit, but love the princess day outfit too, because how awesome is it that she had to have pearls with it!
Thanks for the advice Ash!! I will just keep working with her, and hopefully she'll decide when she wants to know it. :)
