Impossible things are happening every day

With our pass of all passes, Scera was offering free tickets to Cinderella in the outdoor theater, and we snatched some up. It was a perfect night for an outdoor show, and the musical was good (not great), but Q had fun, and I enjoyed hanging with family. PLus it was free...so no complaints.

So make a wish I'll make it like your birthday everyday

I love my birthday, I really do. It's not so much the getting older part, but the day all about me part! haha. Since, I don't want to be sitting at home doing nothing on my special day, I always make sure I have plans. This year I invited my cousins out to breakfast at Kneader' (delicious), then we left the kids the play at Cali's while Kim, Kylie, and I hit up a couple more homes and Cali tagged along! When we got back to the house, the girls had put together a little program for me, put up decorations, and made me brownies. It was super cute!!  I love my birthday. Here's to making 38 look good!

We were too young to really know, in the country fair

Q's little singers company group performed at the Orem Summerfest this year, so Q and I took the opportunity to hit up the rides for a quick bit right after when the carnival opened. Q loves rides, and even convinced me to go on the ferris wheel with her...that thing did not feel safe, but she loved it. Oh the things we do for our kids.

but a house is not a home...

As is our usual tradition, we hit up the Utah Valley Parade of Homes again this year. Kylie joined us this year, and it was super fun. There were some crazy big houses this year, including one that had a recording studio, gym, massage/hair salon, arcade, and theater all included. Crazy!!

I just wanna see you be brave

Q inherited the gap in the middle of her two front teeth from both sides of my family. She loves the gap, and I think that's awesome, but I think she won't like it as much as she gets older so we took the first step in fixing that. She had a piece of skin connecting her upper lip to the middle of the teeth that needed to be removed...and frenulectomy to be exact.
She was a little nervous, this being her first time with anesthesia, but she did amazing! She sat so still, and even sang a little for the assistants. They were very impressed with her. She was a little sleepy that day, and had a bit of pain, but with some medicine and lots of ice cream she was totally fine the next day, and couldn't wait for the stitches to fall out.

We will have to see if, with the skin gone, her two front permanent teeth come in without the gap. If not, I'm sure braces and whatever else are in her future.
