Well, you can rock it you can roll it.. You can stop and you can stroll it at the hop

(another late post)

It was Easter weekend when we went to Utah to search out living arrangements, and we were lucky enough to get an invitation to the Wise Easter celebration. It was Q's first experience with easter egg hunting, and I wasn't sure how it was going to go. But the girl got into it.

All I did was walk around and help hold her basket if needed. She found eggs so easily, and was willing to get in there and get the eggs. I was so proud.

She had so much fun! Along with the easter egg hunt, they had a pinata, and other fun games that Q just loved.

They had these belts with bunny tails and ears for all the kids, I believe it was supposed to be a grab the tail kind of game, but the girls just wanted to walk around with the cute bunny tails instead. I think they make some pretty cute bunnies!

Q is kind of picky when it comes to candy, but she LOVED the eggs themselves, so that was good enough for me, the less candy around the house the better. :)

What a great day and a Happy easter.

A love as real... As real as the flowers

The one thing that worse than packing, when it comes to moving, is that time sure does get away from you and you forget to blog post about fun things.
A couple weeks before we moved, Michelle and I took Q over to the Seattle area to see the Tulip festival one more time before we left the area. I have been going to this festival since I was a kid, so it's gonna be weird to not see the rows of tulips anymore, but I have the pictures to remind me.
Since we were heading over there anyway, I thought it would be fun to check out the Point Defiance Zoo in the Tacoma area. Now I lived in the Seattle area until I was about 20, and I had never been to this zoo. Never been to Point Defiance Park at all. And this park is phenomenal. It has a zoo, a bunch of gardens, beaches that look out into the San Juan islands, and a ferry port. Just awesome.

The day we went to see the tulips was cold...like really cold. and wet. really wet, so naturally there was mud just everywhere, which meant we avoided walking in the tulip rows (something you really aren't supposed to do anyway, but we always do so we can get some awesome cheesy tulip pictures). But we had a good time anyway. Our time with the tulips was shorter than usual, but we got pictures, Q got to see many many "pretty" flowers, and we got out tulip fix.

with the late Spring, many of the tulips hadn't opened up yet, but there are so many planted that we still found plenty of gorgeous to drool over.

Q is obsessed with flowers, and always needs to hold one if not two in her hands if they are around. The problem is, you can't exactly just pick the flowers...so I had to search out flowers that were on the ground....and then proceed to tell any person that gave me a "I can't believe you picked the tulips" look, a little nod and "it was on the ground" comment under my breath.

We even saw this tulip growing in a tree...in a tree?

After the Tulip festival we made a quick stop at the outlet mall in Tulalip, where Q scored herself a free candy necklace, then had dinner at this delicious Hawaiian place we found on Yelp, where Q scored herself a free cupcake. (I'm hoping whatever she has that gets these free things continues, and of course that the "free" things get larger and more expensive).
Moshiko chicken...freakin delicious

I lived off of this stuff when I lived in Hawaii. Nectar of the gods.

Oxtail soup....mmmmmm

That night we stayed at my friend Liz's house, which is always the best. Liz is the most gracious host, and it was so fun to see her and hang out for awhile before I moved.

The next morning we got up bright and early and headed down to Zoo.
The weather was warmer this day, which was so nice!

The zoo is smaller than the one in Seattle, but it had some cool animals, and the layout made it easy to get close up to the animals...which Q was a super fan of.  PLus it had a little aquarium inside of it with huge polar bears...these things are gigantic!

yep, those are reindeer..

Q was pretty stoked about seeing Nemo.

had to find her a flower to hold...

After the Zoo we drove around the Point Defiance Park, ate lunch on the beach (Liz made packed lunches for us...see what I mean about the best host ever!), drove along the water on the way back to the freeway, then headed home.

What a great weekend! and a perfect end to my time in the Pacific Northwest.

I said hey, what's goin' on...

Okay folks, apparently my mom is too busy stressing out about life to write a blog post right now, so it's up to me to let you guys know what I've been up to.

1) First Coco left, then Emily. I don't know why I even bother getting to know my mom's friends...but I can't help but love them. Here are two of my new favorites:

Justin, decided to play beauty shop and do my hair...
Not funny Justin... so I decided to give Justin a make over as well.
Brad is cool. Plus he's just so snuggly that I fell asleep cuddling next to him one night evening while watching Aladdin.

2) Last weekend, I got to hang out with my cousins! I was so excited all day.
Within 5 minutes of my cousins arrival the girls and I had invaded the dress up bin and we were lookin' so cute.
We then took a little walk down to the horses. I love the horses and we each took turns feeding them some hay. Kaiya, really liked the horses too.

After the horses, we joined Carson, who was practicing his basketball moves, and took turns tossing the ball.

Carson is best older cousin, he always takes such good care of me.

That weekend we had so much fun watching tv, dressing up, watching movies, dancing

and playing beauty shop.

I love cousin time!!

3) Every day, I swear I get sillier and sillier. I love to make my mom laugh, and I love when my mom makes me laugh.

4) I am loving "Annie" I have watched it at least 3 times in the last couple weeks, my mommy loves this movie and I do too.

5) I love when mommy takes me into her office to say hi to everybody. A little bit ago, my mommy came and got me and I got to help her out at the office for a little bit. I loved pushing all the buttons, playing on the computer, and playing with the paper. Although mommy wouldn't let me answer the phones.

6) Emily's been gone for a couple weeks now, and I miss her like crazy. The day she moved out, I went into her empty room, laid my head on her empty bed and cried. I love my Emily.

7) Before Emily left, my mommy and her took me to see "Gnomeo and Juliet". I got my own little kids tray filled with fruit snacks, popcorn, and lemonade. I had the best time. Before the movie started, Emily let me play around in the lobby.

Emily and mommy say this looks like an "80's video vixen pose"...whatever that means.

8) I love watching my shows. I especially love spreading out in the craziest positions. I think they are comfortable. My mommy just laughs.

9) I can't wait until it's warm enough to hang out all day outside. I love going to the park.

Anyway, that's all I got folks.
Life is good. I am happy.
Love, Q.
