Thinkin how could I get some dead presidents...

So here is my question to anyone who knows about tax stuff. cause I have NO CLUE when it comes to this stuff. In my 32 years of life I have never had to fill out anything besides the 940 EZ form for my taxes. Well since I not only bought a house but had a baby in 2008, I'm thinking I may need to use something else. right?

HELP!!!

What info do I need to make sure I have before attempting to fill out a tax form?

I'm so nervous I'm going to mess things up, or not get what I should be getting. Usually my taxes only take me a couple minutes online...I don't know what I'm doing here.

anyway. just thought the blogasphere could help with this dilemma.

I always use turbotax. You have to pay a little bit for it, but they seriously walk you through every little step. You'll really only need your W2 and a few other things. Your mortgage company will send you a statement of mortgage interest paid...you'll definitely want that. Also, if you can figure out any medical expenses you paid last year you can fill that out. Any tithing paid can be a write-off. Having Qiana will be a benefit for taxes!! I'll help you with anything if you need it.

We use tax act or tax cut or something like that. Ask Jared. It's the cheapest of them all, like 5 bucks or something. Yeah, again, Ask Jared cuz clearly I don't know what I'm talking about.

yeah, you don't know boo!

taxact.com

used it for last 4 years. $9.95 which includes an e-file. like turbotax, it walks you through every step too.

You can do it! Kim was right on with everything, and student loan interest can be deducted if you have any of that. Just go one step at a time. I miss the EZ form.

don't forget you get a $7500 extra tax credit for buying a house last year! but about 24... i just read two critics opinions who said that 24 has so far been 'typical' and the 'same old same old' stuff happening- which bugs because I'm totally enjoying it! I love Bad Tony (he's lookin' hot right now), and i like the new FBI chick- the escape from the FBI building... i'm completely biased though- there's probably not a whole lot they could do to turn me off! Plus, everything Chloe says kills me ("You looked good though.") I love her. I'll shut up now...

Ugh, taxes already? I seriously hate taking the time to round it all up. The money at the end isn't bad but still. I've always done Turbotax online but the cheap one that Jared mentions sounds even better.
