Today was a good day...

Yesterday was a good day. Nothing exciting happened, but it was a good day. Q took two very long naps, which meant mommy got in two very long naps. We played outside until the wind made it a tad to cold for mommy. We snacked throughout the day. We played. We watched cartoons. And after Q went down for bed, and the house was silent, with none of the usual visitors dropping by, I cuddled on the couch with a pillow, blanket, and a book. A BOOK! I haven't read a book (except maternity or parenting books) in months, maybe a couple years. And I read it cover to cover. I finished around 1 am, and headed to bed.  What a great day.

WHAT BOOK?! WHAT BOOK?!!

(I did the same thing today! Read "The Help" from cover to cover. Although I also had to ignore my kids for a large portion of the day to accomplish that, but still! haha)

Oh I second the book, The Help. I was extremely neglectful but it was such a good book, I read it fast. That counts for something doesn't it?

Post the book, I'm need a good one too.

So glad you had a good day. It sounds perfect.

I'm sure everyone had already read it, because my sister has been telling me to read it for months, maybe even a year...and I finally had time. It's "The Hunger Games". I have the second book ready to start now that shows are over.

I still haven't read those even though they have such great reviews from everyone.

Read The Help next, it's awesome.

Yeah, that book is definitely a "read in one sitting" kind of book. Sounds like my perfect day.

I love those kind of days. Even though they are simple and nothing is outstanding, they are the ones to really treasure and remember!
