I'll send an s.o.s. to the world...

I am in the process of getting Qiana's room put together. you may be asking yourself..."isn't Qiana like 9 months old, a little late with that "nesting" thing..." and you are right. But she had been doing fine in my large master bedroom, and I just didn't feel any motivation to move her. Well a couple weeks ago I decided it was time for my little girl to get her own room...plus I had purchased those cute wall art dots like forever ago, and I really wanted to put up...so I got organized and got her all moved in. She sleeps great in there, and it's nice to have it all cute for her...

but here's my problem.

I have a vision of what I want her room to look like, and in reality it is not coming together the way I would like. I am missing something.

I WANT a large (oversized) letter Q to put on her wall. I am thinking like 2 feet tall??? I don't want little letters to spell out her name. I WANT a large single letter Q, preferably in a hot pink color, but I am willing to paint it if I have to. I don't care if it's wood, metal, or hard plastic.
I would think this would be easy to find, but I have searched everywhere on the internet and CAN'T FIND A THING! this is frustrating me. I have a vision, and I will not be satisfied until that vision is complete.

So I am asking for your help. if you have any ideas, know of any stores, or can hook me up with a large letter Q

I would be most grateful.

just design it how you want it and then get it printed on an adhesive vinyl. just peel and apply.

yessssss. I can help.

i was thinking about doing the vinyl but thought 3 dimensional letter that popped out from the wall would look better. but if that isn't an option I will do the vinyl for sure.

Not that I normally like to volunteer other people's services, but I wonder if Julio could cut something out for you. I'm sure he would, and he could tell you what kind of wood to buy. That's the only suggestion I have.

I found a website and you can choose the height, the thickness and the font. You'd have to paint it but that's no thing. A ton to choose from. From the few I put through, it's round $30. As always with you, super cute idea! If this link doesn't work, I'll show you tomorrow.

So far, I like the Vivian font.

Buy the poster board that is thick and squishy, they have it at Wal-Mart. Then cut it out. Or contact paper.

Mechanical Engineer, coming through......at home depot you can buy big huge pieces of stryrofome...however you spell that. they are like an inch to two inches thick. im sure with the help of a razor blade and sherwin williams, you could make your self a real nice Q. It would be really light, quite affordable, a 3-D as it comes and you could color match it to anything you wanted. then you can make a D and put it on the other wall.
